Greetings friends and fellow dancers.

For those that don’t know, we’ve actually had two new clubs join our federation. Please help me in welcoming the The Fun Bunch (Auburn), as well as Phoenix Pairs N’ Squares to the family. That brings us up to 19 clubs in the Federation. Yes, square dancing is still alive in this area.

March 23rd the Callers group will have their Spring Dance. It’s a great time to meet other dancers, dance to many different callers and cuers, and help support the callers.

We then have the ever-popular Tri-Club Dance on Saturday April 6, 2019. This dance will be featuring caller Howard Williamson with his wife Donna cueing the rounds. Donna will start with a half hour of rounds before the square dance begins its Mainstream/Plus program.

The 61st Dance-O-Rama will be May 4, 2019 at the Perinton Recreation Center, 1350 Turk Hill Rd., Fairport, NY. This is a Federation wide event. While it marks graduation for our newer dancers, it is also an opportunity for those from around the area that don’t often get to see each other to come together and dance. The event starts at 2:00 pm and runs until 9:45 pm. Out of town caller Brad Deibert will be there as well as Ron Brown, Mike Callahan, and myself. Cuers will be Lisa Treichler and Mark Thone. There is still plenty of dancing being planned for the summer including out of town callers Betsy Gotta, Johnny Preston, and Mike Sikorsky. This fall will see several open houses as well as our welcome back Fall Friendship Ball being planned for September 28, 2019.
