Hard to believe the summer is over and we are beginning our Open Houses and Square Dance lessons again.

It has been a busy summer with so many dancing opportunities for our club members. In addition to our clubs that continue to dance during the summer, we have had opportunities to showcase square dancing at several community demos around the western NY. So many wonderful dances: WNYF sponsored 3 Free or discounted mainstream dances. There have been many special dancing events - tractor square dancing, steak roasts, ALS Dance, Cure Dances, weekend festivals, etc. We have had a lot of fun at everything we attended this summer.

Please help with Open Houses:
Whether your club is offering Open Houses and Classes this Fall, please support the clubs offering them. Angels are always welcome to help with the classes.

Clubs offering lessons: Cloverleaf Squares, Batavia Silver Stars, Cayuga Cut-Ups, Fulton Shirts N Skirts, and Copy Cats.

Also, Ray Tompkins is starting up a new club on Thursday evenings in Chili: Church Mice Squares which is also holding an Open House to kick off their lessons. Starting in October, Ron Brown provides angels at Copy Cats classes free plus classes from 6:15pm to 7pm providing they stay and help angel the class.

Hopefully you remember the fun you had in class and the important role the angels played in you becoming active in square dancing.

WNYF Meeting on Sept 18th:
On the agenda for our WNYF virtual meeting on Sept 18th, we will take the time to walking everyone through the new WNYF website. We want our dancers to know where to find dance schedules, flyers of upcoming events, club news, insurance information, etc. The new website is very easy to navigate and with a brief introduction, we are sure our dancers will have no trouble finding the information they need.
