Copy Cats

About Us

Our club is a Mainstream /Plus level square dance club with Phase II-IV Rounds that dances the First and Third Saturdays (usually) from September through May each season. We dance at the First Baptist Church of Penfield, 1862 Penfield Rd., Penfield, NY.

For those interested in trying square dancing, join us in September for our FREE Open Houses. Our club offers Square Dance lessons for beginners (Basic & Mainstream) on Wednesday evenings from 7-9 pm at the Penfield Community Center, 1985 Baird Rd., Penfield, NY. There are also Plus level refresher lessons from 6:15-7 pm the same nights and location. Ron Brown is the instructor/caller.

All couples and solos are welcome to join us at our dances. Admission is $7 for guests, members are free, and 50/50 raffle tickets are available for all. Please bring your own water.

We are a Banner Stealing Club club.

It may be cold outside, but it’s still hot on the dance floor! Our kittens are learning new calls each week and we can’t wait to celebrate their Graduation on April 22. We invite all dancers to join us for our Hawaiian Dance (class/club) on March 7, followed by our St. Patrick’s Dance on March 21. The temperature WILL warm up in time for a Spring Fling Dance on April 11. Are you ready to enjoy a sweet treat on April 25? Then show up for the Ice Cream Social Dance (class/club)! We look forward to joining dancers from other clubs at the annual Dance-O-Rama on May 2. We’ll finish out the regular Copy Cats dance season with our Spring Picnic on May 16. But wait! There’s more! We plan to offer a Summer Session at the Penfield Community Center. It will follow the same format as previous sessions, meeting on Wednesday evenings. We will offer a refresher workshop from 6:15-7 (great for our dance angels) followed by Callerlab’s new mainstream list of calls for new dancers from 7-9. Invite a friend to learn how to “dance in a square and make a circle of friends”.
