Copy Cats

Copy Cats first session of classes has progressed very well this year with 29 new “Kittens” participating. We greatly appreciate the support and encouragement of angels from Copy Cats and visiting clubs. Ron Brown is very proud of their progress, claiming that the Kittens are well ahead of new dancers in other clubs. We typically have 6–7 squares on class nights. Our second session of lessons begins on February 5th and ends on May 14th.

We’re looking forward to upcoming dances as follows:

• Our Favorite Sports Night is on February 1st from 7-9 pm. It is a CLASS/CLUB dance with Jim Gotta calling and Chuck Meyer cueing.



• A Valentine’s Dance will be on February 15th from 2–4 pm. It is a CLUB dance with Ron Brown calling and Chuck Meyer cueing. It is safe to wear something Red.



• Our Hawaiian Dance is March 1st from 7–9 pm. It is a CLASS/CLUB dance with Jim Gotta calling and Chuck Meyer cueing. Hawaiian attire is encouraged, but it might be a bit early for a grass skirt!!



• Our St Patrick–s CLUB dance is on March 15th from 7–9 pm with Dave Eno calling and Chuck Meyer cueing. Please leave your Shillelagh (Irish walking stick) at home!



• With weather improving in April, we plan an Ice Cream Social CLUB dance on April 5th from 7–9 pm with Mike Callahan returning to call squares and Lisa Treichler cueing for Rounds.



• The Mexican Fiesta CLASS/CLUB Dance is scheduled for April 26th from 7–9 pm with Mike Callahan calling and Chuck Meyer cueing.

The Copy Cats Kittens Graduation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23rd from 6–9 pm at the Penfield Community Center – ALL CLUB and CLASS members are encouraged to participate. It is a very enjoyable evening with lots of Pomp and Circumstance! Join us any time for dancing, fun, socializing and laughter. “See” you on the dance floor!
